BANGALORE: The Government on Thursday decided to hold a meeting on June 13 with private medical and engineering college managements to find a solution with regard to seat-sharing and other related issues. This decision was taken at an official meeting chaired by Deputy Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa here. "The Government does not believe in confrontation. In the interest of the students, especially to secure more seats for the meritorious students from the poor sections and the middle classes, it was decided to hold talks with the managements of the private colleges," the Deputy Chief Minister said. Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who is on tour abroad, is expected to return to the State on June 12, and this was why the meeting was scheduled for June 13, Mr. Yediyurappa said. The Government will hold talks with the managements of the engineering colleges as well as the medical and dental colleges separately.
