CHENNAI: The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is the latest to join the certification bandwagon. Two departments of the apex bank have just landed the prestigious British Standard of Information Security — BS7799: 2002 (2). With this certification, RBI forms part of a select club of central banks across the globe, which had upgraded their information security management systems (ISMS). The two departments that have been awarded the BS7799: 2002 (2) certification are: the Internal Debt Management Department (IDMD) and the Department of External Investment and Operations (DEIO). The official accredited certification was issued by CIS-Certification, Gmbh, (Austria), says a release.
