Wage talks begin

TIRUPUR: With trade unions rejecting the idea of postponing wage talks, preliminary talks between industry associations and trade unions in the hosiery industry were held here on Friday. South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association president Mohan P. Kandaswamy said they had asked recognised six unions to come out with common demand for further talks.
