Staff Reporter

TIRUPUR: A 10-member delegation comprising dyers and exporters will meet Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi on June 13 in Chennai to seek his help to solve the contentious issue of pollution by textile processing houses here.

According to the Dyers' Association of Tirupur president, N. Kandaswamy, their main demand was 50 per cent grant from the State and Centre to install reverse osmosis plants. K. Subbarayan, MP, and C. Govindasamy, MLA, would accompany the delegation.

The Union Environment Minister A. Raja had said if the State Government extended 25 per cent grant the Centre would match it.
