Students get tips in financial marketing

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: "In this country, financial services are high profile and cover only 40 per cent of the households.

The remaining 60 per cent remains untapped," Canara Bank Chairman and Managing Director M.B.N. Rao has said.

Speaking at "Esperanto," a management fest organised by the Canara Bank School of Management Studies here on Friday, he said India is ahead of China in terms of management talent.

Mahesh Joshi, director of Doordarshan, who presided over the function, urged students to exhibit their managerial skills and creativity.

He said these skills represent the ethos of equality of rights.

Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor H.A. Ranganath said students would be able to achieve quality, excellence and discipline only in a competitive atmosphere.
