Deplorable

This refers to the report that BJP leaders Vinay Katiyar and Sahib Singh Verma have announced cash rewards for any civilian killing a militant in Jammu and Kashmir. Such utterances have the potential to spark widespread communal violence.

It looks like the BJP has lost faith in our security forces' ability to fight insurgency in the Valley. Such irresponsible comments are best avoided and fighting terror is best left to our security forces.

Nakshab Khan,
Aligarh, U.P.
