SBT keeps winning

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Bank of Travancore continued its unbeaten run in the Thiruvananthapuram district super division football league at the Central Stadium here on Sunday.

SBT cruised past archrival Travancore Titanium 3-1 after leading 2-0 at half time.

The bank-men grabbed the chances that came their way while Titanium missed quite a few. Ignatius struck a brace (6th & 37th) while Asif Saheer got himself into the scorers list by finding the net in the 75th minute. Jackson struck the consolation goal for Titanium in the 89th minute. SBT, with its fourth straight win, jointly leads the points table with 12 points. Titanium has nine points from four matches.

Kerala State Electricity Board recorded its fourth straight win by trouncing St. Mary's FC 3-0. Vinod (30th & 34th) and Naushad Pari (55th) scored for the winner. KSEB, with 12 points, shares the lead along with SBT.

St. Mary's slumped to its fourth defeat in the league.
