ANANTAPUR: The reservation of Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs) in the district was finalised late on Saturday night. Of the 812 MPTC seats in 63 mandals, 276 had been reserved for women and the remaining had been kept open. According to the officials, the category-wise reservation of MPTC seats is as follows: 10 for women and 21 general for Scheduled Tribes; 49 for women and 80 general for Scheduled Castes; 82 for women and 162 general for BC and 135 for women and 273 general in Open Category.
