Indian to operate additional flights from Qatar

Dubai: Indian (formerly Indian Airlines), which operates daily flights to Kochi and Kozhikode from Qatar, is likely to introduce additional flights to cater to the huge demand for seats from vacationers. The airline has requested extra flights for operating services from June 30 to July 2, an airline official said in Doha.

``The airline operates daily flights to Kochi and Kozhikode, which have been witnessing huge rush since the beginning of May,'' The Peninsula daily reported. Air-India officials said seats were available on its flights until June 25 and after August 7. There would be higher demand in the last week of June since it coincided with closure of Indian schools for summer holidays, they said. — UNI
