Staff Correspondent
Belgaum: The Janata Dal (Secular)-Bharatiya Janata Party coalition government in the State is apprehensive about its prospects in the elections to six city municipal corporations, including Belgaum. Therefore, it has deliberately created "potential pretexts" prompting Opposition parties and individuals to approach the courts to seek a stay on the elections, according to Ramesh L. Kudachi, Congress MLA for Belgaum and Siddangouda Patil, leader of a Kannada organisation, even as they announced the decision to file a writ petition in the Karnataka High Court.
