Karim Khan's health slightly better now

Staff Reporter

Bangalore: The condition of former Janapada Academy Chairman S.K. Karim Khan has improved slightly, according to doctors attending to him at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital here on Sunday.

Mr. Khan was shifted to the intensive care unit of the hospital from the Government Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital on Saturday after he developed difficulty in breathing.

He was admitted to the hospital as he was suffering from pneumonia, the doctors said.

"His health condition is much better now but it is not yet stable," the hospital authorities said.

Mr. Khan was not able to receive the Kempegowda award presented recently at a function by the Bangalore Mahanagara Palike.

The Mayor had presented the award to him at the Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital on Friday.
