Alappuzha to host National sub-junior

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Table Tennis Association has asked the Alappuzha DTTA to conduct the National sub-junior championship, allotted to it, from November 19 to 25.

The decision to this effect was taken by the KTTA annual general meeting in Kochi on Sunday. The meeting also elected K. John Cherian and S.A.S. Navas as president and secretary of the association. N. Ganeshan is the new treasurer.

KTTA calendar is as follows: June 30, July 1 and 2: Don Bosco, Irinjalakuda; August 11 to 13: Laurel Club, Fort Kochi; Sept. 1 to 13: N. Krishnamoorthy memorial, Thiruvananthapuram; Sept. 8 to 10: YMCA, Alappuzha; Sept. 15 to 17: KDTTA, Kozhikode; Sept. 22 to 24: YMCA, Kollam; Oct. 13 to 15: RSC, Kochi; Oct. 20 to 22: YMCA, Thiruvananthapuram and Oct. 27 to 29: Kannur DTTA.

The district championships in all the districts will be held from November 3 to 5 and the State championship in Kochi from Nov. 9 to 12. — Special Correspondent
