TDP protest against petrol price hike

KADAPA: The Congress Government has reduced petrol and diesel prices with an eye on panchayat raj elections, TDP leaders have alleged,

Speaking at a rasta roko programme at Puttaparthi centre in Proddatur against the hike, party leader Linga Reddy flayed the UPA Government for hiking petrol and diesel price four times in the last two years.

ANANTAPUR: The lorry owners' associations of Anantapur and Hindupur staged rasta roko and dharna at the two places on Monday in protest against hike. They urged the Central Government to withdraw the hike in the diesel price immediately.

Lorry associations' leaders S. Salar Basha, P. Nagaraju and Fayazullah Khan led the protests.
