PANAJI: The Hazrat Nizamuddin-Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express was checked thoroughly by a bomb-disposal squad of Goa Police at Margao in South Goa on Monday afternoon following a bomb threat. The check was a part of the precautionary measures taken by railway authorities throughout its journey following a call that a bomb has been planted on the train which left Hazrat Nizamuddin on Sunday evening. Sources in Goa Police and Konkan Railway Corporation (KRC) said that a call to the Chief Security, Northern Railways, Delhi, on Sunday evening claimed that a bomb was planted on the train. As the train had already left, all the stations en route were alerted by the authorities. The train which was checked at every major station on its route was armed with a squad of Railway Police Force (RPF). The train arrived around 20 minutes late at Margao. Deputy Inspector-General of Police Ujjwal Mishra said nothing was found on the train. The train left Margao at around 3 p.m.
