Two killed as car rams truck

The accident occurred near Kusugal on the Bijapur-Hubli Road

HUBLI: Two persons were killed and two others were injured when a car rammed a stationary truck near Kusugal on the Bijapur-Hubli Road here on Monday. The names of the deceased have been given as Janumala Prasadrao Rajarao (50), working as Deputy Superintendent at the Archaeology Department in Dharwad, and Deenanath Yadav (32) of Goa.

The police said while Prasadrao was killed on the spot, Deenath died at hospital.

The injured Tony J. Victor of Goa and the driver of the car Vadiraj Shetteppa Shetty of Dharwad have been admitted to the Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) Hospital here.
