Security tightened

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Security has been strengthened by the police in the Capital in view of the dawn-to-dusk general strike call given by trade unions to protest against the decision of the Union Government to hike the prices of petroleum products. — Staff Reporter

KSRTC employees suspended

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KSRTC has suspended the driver and conductor of the Super Fast bus that proceeded from the Capital to Nedumbassery on March 17 for refusing to stop the bus at Kulanada. A release from the KSRTC quoting Executive Director K.M.S. Panicker said conductor S.V. Mukul and driver P.M. Chakochan, both attached to Perumbavoor unit, were suspended following the inquiry on the basis of the complaint received from a the commuter. . — Staff Reporter

Telephone bills

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The BSNL has sent the telephone bills of subscribers in Thiruvananthapuram telecom district for April and May. The last date for payment of telephone bills without fine is June 27, a release from the BSNL said. — Staff Reporter
