Girl dies in road accident

BANGALORE: A three-and-a-half-year-old baby girl was killed in a road accident in Madivala traffic police station limits on Sunday.

The police said that around 9.30 p.m. Anand Kumar was pushing his motorcycle on a one-way stretch on Hosur Road. On nearing the Madivala Anjaneya Temple, the motorcycle hit a stone and fell to the ground.

Kumar's daughter Navya Priya, who was sitting on the motorcycle, also fell and a goods vehicle hit her. An injured Navya Priya was rushed to a hospital where she died around 10.30 p.m., the police said. Kumar, who works as a supervisor in a private factory, is a resident of Siddhartha Colony in Madivala. The Madivala traffic police have seized the goods vehicle. Its driver has been arrested.
