Atul Auto profit up

CHENNAI : Rajkot based Atul Auto, a leading 3-wheeled commercial vehicle producer, has reported net sales of Rs. 129 crore for the year ending March 31, 2006, against Rs. 98.90 crore. The profit after tax rose by 39 per cent to Rs. 4.20 crore from Rs. 3.01 crore. According to J. J. Chandra, CMD, the major driver of growth for Atul Auto has been its half tonner commercial 3-wheeler brand "Shakti". The company expects its Haridwar plant to be operational by August.
