Italcementi's expansion plans

BANGALORE: The Italian cement group, Italcementi, would implement expansion projects, including a new 5,500 tonnes a day clinker, at its Yerraguntla plant, a grinding centre in Chennai and a captive power plant. It also planned further greenfield projects and acquisitions. The three projects would be implemented in stages, said Carlo Pesenti, CEO, in a release. He was here to review the operations and strategy of Zuari Cement, now wholly owned by the Italcementi.
