Unwritten code

Kerala has proved its credentials in secularism once again with the peaceful screening of the controversial film,

The Da Vinci Code. Even when several States prohibited its screening, the Kerala Government adopted a liberal approach by permitting the screening.

When religious controversies plagued several other States in the country along with other parts of the world recently, there was no vandalism in Kerala.

In fact, the existence of temples, churches and mosques in close proximity is a common sight in Kerala.

The tone and tenor of the religious harmony has once again come to the fore thanks to the unwritten code that has hit the screen.
