Avoidable?

President Abdul Kalam has made history with his submarine venture and now by flying (and piloting for three minutes) the Sukhoi-30, a fighter plane. But such reckless acts are unwise. A President has other ways of demonstrating his prowess. Such misadventures are best avoided.
