Petrol to cost 75 paise less in Uttaranchal

DEHRA DUN: Uttaranchal Chief Minister Narayan Dutt Tiwari has decided to lower the sale price of petrol by 75 paise per litre and diesel by 38 paise to reduce the burden of the recent price increase by the Centre on the consumers.

The prices had been lowered by withdrawing the additional tax on the increased costs of petrol and diesel, an official spokesman here aid on Tuesday, adding that the loss to the State Exchequer would be treated as subsidy.
