ALIGARH: With the situation in this town fast returning to normal, day curfew was lifted on Tuesday from all areas where it was clamped 15 days ago following communal violence that left three persons dead. While day curfew between 6 am and 6 pm was lifted from most parts of Aligarh's old quarter on Monday, it was withdrawn from areas like Kanwari Gunj, Dahi Wali Gali, Abdul Kareem Choraha and Mandi Crossing on Tuesday, officials said. The banks also started functioning normally, after a gap of 16 days.
