HYDERABAD: After over seven years, yellow and red flags fluttered high jointly as the Telugu Desam and the CPI(M) came together to organise protest rallies, "rasta" and "rail roko" agitation at some towns in the State on Tuesday against the hike in petroleum prices. The CPI staged protest separately. Senior leaders of the Telugu Desam and the CPI(M) hit the road here to register their protest. While TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu pedalled his way for the two-kilometre stretch from his home to the party headquarters on a cycle, CPI (M) State secretary and Polit Bureau member B.V. Raghavulu, led his partymen in a "dharna" at the busy RTC crossroads. At the Visakhapatnam railway station, activists of the CPI(M) and the CPI detained the Howrah-Yeshwantpur Express.
