CPI to contest eight ZPTC, 32 MPTC seats in Kadapa

KADAPA: CPI district executive decided on Monday evening to independently contest eight ZPTC seats and 32 MPTC seats in Kadapa district.

The party candidates would file nominations for MPTC seats on June 14 and 15 and for ZPTC seats on June 16, CPI district secretary G. Obulesu and assistant secretary P. Krishnamurthy said. CPI could reduce its tally in case of an understanding with Congress. The party's State Committee and Kadapa MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy were apprised of the seats to be contested in Kadapa district, they said.
