ELURU: The CPI (M) will go it alone in the local body elections in West Godavari district following failure of its efforts to forge an alliance with the ruling Congress, according to its district committee secretary Mantena Sitaram. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, Mr. Sitaram blamed the Congress for the decision. He said the party meeting held at Palacole on Monday decided to field its candidates in 10 Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituencies (ZPTCs) and over 200 Mandal Parishad Territorial Constituencies (MPTCs).
