THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Government has ordered extension of pay revision benefits to the non-teaching staff in all universities in the State, except Kerala Agricultural University (KAU). An official release issued here on Tuesday said the orders for the Kerala Agricultural University would be issued by the Agriculture Department. The registrars of the University of Kerala, Mahatma Gandhi University, Calicut University, Kannur University, the Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, and the Cochin University of Science and Technology (Cusat) had sought the permission of the State Government to implement the pay revision orders . The Government had accorded sanction for the pay revision.. The date of revision as well as the payment of arrears will be the same as ordered in the pay revision orders issued here on March 25. Any proposal for extending additional benefits to the employees of the universities should be forwarded to the State Government with the approval of the Syndicate, the release said.
