KOZHIKODE: The three-day long All India Workshop on `Coordinate Measuring Machines and Computer Aided Inspection' (CMM), organised by the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the National Institute of Technology, Calicut (NIT-C) in collaboration with the Institution of Engineers (India), Calicut Local Centre, would begin on the NIT-C campus at Chathamangalam, near here, on Wednesday. Mustafizur Rahman, Professor at the National University of Singapore and renowned expert in micro-nano fabrication and metrology, would inaugurate the workshop at 10 a.m. on Wednesday. Director of NIT-C G.R.C. Reddy would preside over the inaugural function. N. Ramakrishnan, professor, Indian Institute of Technology(IIT), Mumbai; V.K. Suri, Head, Precision Engineering, BARC, Mumbai; and A.Balasubramaniam, senior scientist, Precision Engineering, BARC, Mumbai would deliver the keynote address. At least 60 delegates from industry and academic institutions are expected to attend the three-day workshop. The workshop would discuss the latest development in metrology and computer-aided inspection, Jose Mathew and P.B. Dhanish, coordinators of the workshop said in a release here on Tuesday..
