Recalibration of autorickshaw meters

The deadline for recalibration of autorickshaw meters expires on Wednesday, the Regional Transport Authority, Bangalore Urban district, has said in a press release. The authority had revised meter fares on March 15 and had given autorickshaw drivers deadline of three months to recalibrate the meters.

Health camp

Pharmacy chain Lifeken will organise a series of free health camps for children on June 17, 18, 24 and 25 in different areas in the city. The camps targeting children in the age group of three to 12 years will have eye, dental and respiratory check-ups conducted by noted institutions in the field. On June 17 and 18, the camps will be held at the Lifeken outlets in Malleswaram, Amruthahalli, HSR Layout, RBI Layout, Jayanagar 9th Block and Yelahanka. On June 24 and 25, the camps will be held in RPC Layout, Bank Colony, Jayanagar 8th Block, HAL 3rd stage, Banashankari 2nd Stage and Langford Road.

Applications invited

Babboorkamme Seva Samithi has invited applications for scholarships from economically backward, physically handicapped, merit students belonging to Babboorkamme Brahmin community studying in SSLC and above and diploma courses. Applications can be obtained from Babboorkamme Seva Samithi, 17, Seshadri Road. The last date for submitting applications is July 31.
