Two BMP engineers issued notices

Bangalore: Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Commissioner K. Jairaj on Tuesday issued notices to Assistant Executive Engineers of Jayanagar and Basavanagudi for dereliction of duty. He was conducting surprise checks in the south zone wards. Mr. Jairaj inspected work in low-lying areas prone to inundation and repair work on main roads. Noticing construction material lying on Bull Temple Road, he ordered that the owner be fined Rs. 20,000.
