Tulip IT Services' expansion plans

CHENNAI: Tulip IT Services has announced expansion plans. According to a release, the company plans to open additional support centres. It will also be increasing its staff strength from 850 to 1500. It also announced major investments to increase the reach of TulipConnect to 800 cities from 540 cities. For 2005-06, the company has achieved a net profit of Rs. 48.80 crore against Rs. 13.91 crore in 2004-05. Total turnover has risen to Rs. 508.17 crore from Rs. 342.20 crore. The company has announced a dividend of Re.1 per share.
