`Project should be a public sector venture'

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: The State unit of Communist Party of India (Marxist) has suggested that the coalition Government treat the Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor project as a public sector venture and implement it on priority in the interest of the State. In a release here on Wednesday, secretary of the CPI(M) unit G.N. Nagaraj alleged that the project had been facing hurdles because of vested interests of politicians. In the light of the increasing industrial development in and around Bangalore, the Government should take up the project, he added.
