Court wants status report
New Delhi:
A city court on Wednesday directed the Delhi Police to file by July 7 a status report on investigations related to the case registered against the doctors and management of Apollo Hospitals in the Rahul Mahajan drug abuse case.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kamini Lau said that since the case was registered under Section 182 (giving false information to a public servant) of the IPC it being a non-cognisable offence, no one could be arrested without a warrant. The court said no documents could be seized from the hospital without its prior permission. PTI
