6 pilgrims killed in road accident

DEHRA DUN: Six Badrinath-bound pilgrims were killed and five seriously injured when the jeep they were travelling in rolled off the road into a deep khud near Chopta on the Gaurikund-Badrinath by-pass on Wednesday, official sources said.

The pilgrims were from Bihar and Gujarat. The mishap comes close on the heels of Tuesday's truck tragedy in Almora district.
