Showcasing the future for students

To give students an insight into the latest trends in education and burgeoning career opportunities across a wide spectrum of upcoming fields of work, Friendz Exhibitions and Promotions (FEP) is organising a three-day education and career fair, "Infra Educa -- 2006'', at Delhi's Pragati Maidan beginning this Friday.

The exhibition will provide information to students on a range of educational options, including hotel management, fashion designing, chartered accountancy, engineering, pharmacy, environmental science, marine engineering and biotechnology. Information will also be made available on vocational streams, such as mass communication, journalism, polytechnics and publishing. "Information on programmes offered at international universities, qualifying tests, loans and scholarships will also be provided at the event,'' says FEP Chief Coordinator Mani Vashisht.

More than 125 institutions from across the country are expected to take part in the exhibition. They include Jagan Institute of Management Studies, Air Hostess Academy, Ideal Institute of Technology, Arya College of Engineering, Dolphin Institute, Jaipur Engineering College, Maharishi Arvind Group of Institutions, Massif International College, Compucom Institute, Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Applied Sciences and Jaipuria Institute of Management. Several banks offering student loans, including State Bank of India, Oriental Bank of Commerce and Allahabad Bank, will also be participating in the fair.

"The fair will focus on elementary as well as higher education, specialised and professional courses and also vocational training. Information about educational loans and finance along with Government schemes and aids will also be provided,'' says Ms. Vashisht.Along with the exhibition, FEP is also planning to organise a symposium on different educational fields. "The event will witness the participation of decision-makers in the Government, members of various educational boards, representatives of professional institutions and colleges, scientists and academicians as well as education consultants,'' she adds. -- Staff Reporter
