MCD offices to remain closed today
New DJB scheme launched
Under the scheme, consumers can apply to the area executive engineer in the prescribed application form available free-of-cost at his office on all working days. A single-window service has also been provided for faster processing of applications.
Seminar on building industry organised
Speaking at a seminar on "Human Resource Management in Building Industry" organised by the Indian Building Congress, Mr. Joshi said: "The construction industry has a great potential for employment generation. The training of construction workers is very vital to the economy and there is an urgent need to set standards for producing world-class technocrats and management executives in this field." He also released a souvenir and gave away awards for excellence.
NCC team returns from Singapore
The NCC cadets participated in various activities there including camping, weapons firing, adventure activities and cultural presentations. They also visited places of historic significance like Changi Chapel, Singapore National Museum and Merlion Park.
NDMC workshop for children
NDMC had organised the workshop to acquaint children with Indian culture and to inculcate an interest in art in them.
