Militants on the rampage
Jammu
: Suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba militants on Thursday killed a man and injured 13 others, chopping off the noses and ears of two of them, during an attack on a village in Udhampur district of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.
The militants assaulted the residents of Niyooch village and killed a man named Abdul Ahad, they told PTI.
Thirteen persons were injured and the ears and noses of at least two of them were chopped off, SSP (Reasi) J.L. Sharma said.
Officials said police and army personnel have been dispatched to the area, a four-hour journey on foot from the nearest road.
