FM channel wars

Our city is witnessing channel wars of a different kind. This time, it's all about who is the leading FM radio channel.

The older one claims its superiority over a newcomer named after a pungent spice.

The older channel, on the basis of a survey among 270 radio listeners, claims it is still the favourite radio station in Bangalore.

Its radio jockeys are among those most popular with the young crowd, it says.

A judicious mix of Hindi and Kannada film music plus traffic updates appear to have helped the channel holds its own. R.M.
