Chief Justice takes part in Lok Adalat

He is the first Chief Justice to do so; all High Court judges to be involved in the effort

BANGALORE: History was made on Thursday when Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court Cyriac Joseph participated in Lok Adalat proceedings. The Chief Justice, along with Advocate Member K. Suryanarayana Rao, was listed to hear 16 miscellaneous first appeals (MFA), most of them related to motor vehicle cases.

Mr. Cyriac Joseph is the first Chief Justice of the High Court to participate in Lok Adalat proceedings.

He will be attending Lok Adalats along with the other judges. For the first time, as part of the High Court golden jubilee celebrations, it has been decided to involve all judges of the court. The Chief Justice was welcomed to the Lok Adalat proceedings by the Lok Adalat staff and by Justice K.L. Manjunath.
