Complaint against derogatory remarks lodged

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Condemning the "casteist" remarks in a Youth For Equality (YFE) leaflet, Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) officer-bearers on Thursday lodged a complaint with the Equal Opportunity Office and the Proctor.

Criticising YFE for publishing its pamphlets anonymously without the signature of any of its representatives, JNUSU in its statement charged that it was in "contravention'' of established principles of pamphleteering in JNU.

YFE had circulated a leaflet on June 12, which referred to the pro-reservation group in an allegedly derogatory way.
