GULBARGA: Agriculture Marketing Minister Sharanabasappa Darshanapur on Friday alleged that more than 3,000 bogus voters had been included in Bellary district in the North East Graduates Constituency and that the party cadre would effectively control the casting of any bogus voting in the constituency, particularly in Bellary district. Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Darshanapur did not accuse any political party for this but said his party had complained to the Election Commission in this connection. He said the matter had been brought to the notice of Janata Dal (S) State unit president M.P. Prakash. The party workers and election agents would be vigilant during polling on Saturday. They would take all measures to prevent casting of bogus votes. Mr. Darshanapur said the party was confident of its candidate Sangameshwar sailing through easily in the election. He pointed out that more than 65 per cent of the voters in the constituency were teachers and Prof. Sangameshwar's work for teachers should augur well for his smooth victory. The fight was between the BJP and the Janata Dal (S), he added.
