GULBARGA: The Chittari Foundation has decided to organise the "Rashtrakoota Bahamani Utsav-2006" in August this year by conducting the exhibition of rare paintings and photographs of different historical monuments, forts and other historical evidences available to portray the rich heritage of the Rashtrakoota Dynasty and the Bahamani Kingdom. Foundation director Venkataswamy Chittari in a press release said here on Friday that although Gulbarga was the capital city of the Bahamani Kingdom and Malkhed now in Sedam taluk of the district was the capital city of the Bahamani dynasty, the historical importance of the district had not been recognised. Mr. Chittari appealed to artists and photographers to send their works to the foundation before July 15 for an exhibition. Details can obtained over phone 9880416609.
