Credit-deposit ratio put at 91 per cent in Kozhikode

KOZHIKODE: The credit-deposit ratio of banks in the district stood at 91 per cent as on March 31, the end of the financial year 2005-06, a meeting of the district-level banking review committee here was informed on Friday.

The meeting, presided over by District Collector and Chairperson of the committee Rachna Shah, was also told that volume of loan disbursement touched 166 per cent of the target set for the year. Against a target of Rs. 1,947.37 crores, Rs. 3.235.35 crores was disbursed in the district. In farm sector, Rs. 1,016.39 crores was advanced, industrial sector Rs. 79.72 crores, and other priority sectors Rs. 766.14 crores.
