Glenmark arm buys S.African co's seven products

MUMBAI: Glenmark Pharmaceuticals on Friday said its subsidiary Bouwer-Bartlett (Pty) Ltd., has acquired seven products from South Africa-based P. D. Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd for an undisclosed amount. The brands collectively are expected to garner sales of $2-3 million in 2006-07. Bouwer-Bartlett has obtained global intellectual property rights for the products and will initially market them within South Africa and gradually sell them in other geographics, says a release.
