NELLORE: In a tragic incident, five men were crushed to death in sleep by a lorry at Narsireddy Kandriga crossroads, near Naidupet, in the early hours of Friday. According to the police, the lorry hit the road-divider on the NH-5, where five of them were sleeping. It crushed all of them to death and sped away immediately. The police said that all the victims, who were working in a nearby cement factory, belonged to Nalanda district of Bihar. According to Naidupet Circle Inspector T. Janaki Ram, the police were able to identify them with the help of a notebook found at the accident spot. " Relatives of the victims, who were in Chennai, came to the spot and informed their family members in Bihar," he said. Superintendent of Police N. Suryanarayana visited the accident spot and instructed the local police to trace out the lorry.
