BANGALORE: Gaganjeet Bhullar's winning streak at the Eagleton Golf course now reads an impressive five wins from five starts. He has won one sub-junior, two `A' category tournaments and back-to-back wins in the amateur section at the designer golf course on the Mysore road. It was a heartbreak for overnight leader Anirban Lahiri as he ended up runner-up once more he had finished joint second at the recent tournament at the Bangalore Golf Course last week. Simarjeet Singh had the distinction of scoring a hole-in-one on the par three 12th hole. The results (72 holes): 1. Gaganjeet Bhullar (68, 68, 68, 67) 271; 2. Anirban Lahiri (68, 67, 67, 70) 272, 3. Joseph Chakola (69, 67, 68, 69) 273, 4. Shaurya Singh (70, 67, 69, 70) 276, 5. Tarun Ghogale (67, 70, 73, 67) 277, 6. Chiragh Kumar (72, 67, 67, 73) 279.
Narrow win for Belgaum
Belgaum scored a narrow 3-2 victory over Aristocrat Hockey Club in the C division league tournament here on Friday. Imran Bepari (2) and Irfan Bisti scored for Belgaum, while Richard and Yeshwant Anthony scored for Aristocrat. Star Track HC beat ITC 2-1 in another fixture. Michael and John Fernandes scored for the winner and Ramesh Kumar scored for the loser.
