ANANTAPUR: Two sisters of Thaticherla village in Anantapur rural mandal committed suicide by consuming poisonous pills after they were allegedly scolded by their father on Friday. According to the police, the marriage of Maruthamma, 16, was fixed and her father bought clothes for her and her sister Kashamma, 14. As they did not like them, they urged their father to return them. Turning down their request, their father allegedly scolded them. Pained at his attitude, the sisters took the extreme step.
