BANGALORE: Tamil Nadu men salvaged some lost ground with a hard fought 31-27 win over Haryana in a Group B match of the 26th Federation Cup kabaddi championship here on Friday. Tamil Nadu was well served by Koyilraj and Thirumagesh who revelled in raiding and catching respectively. Tamil Nadu had earlier in the day lost badly to last year's winner Indian Railway. Railways won 58-23. Hyderabad women won a close match against Tamil Nadu in the morning session 23-21. The results: Men: Punjab bt Rajasthan 44-30; Karnataka bt BSNL 55-52; Indian Railways bt Tamil Nadu 58-23; Haryana bt Karnataka 47-43; Tamil Nadu bt Haryana 31-27. Women: Maharashtra bt Punjab 29-23; Indian Railways bt HP 39-22; Hyderabad bt Tamil Nadu 23-21; Himachal Pradesh bt Haryana 41-35. — Principal Correspondent
