Three shot dead in U.P. Capital

Lucknow: Two unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants on Friday shot dead three persons in Krishnanagar area here.

Police said the assailants intercepted a sports utility vehicle (SUV) near Barabirwa locality and started indiscriminate firing. Two SUV passengers and an unidentified rickshaw-puller nearby were killed.

The slain men were identified as Suresh Yadav of Rajajipuram and Sunil Kumar of Malihabad. Enmity was said to be the reason behind the crime.

The police later recovered the motorcycle used in the crime. It bore a fake registration number.

Meanwhile, Krishnanagar police station officer Vijay Shankar and four constables have been suspended.
