Girl strangled to death

AVANIGADDA (Krishna dist.): An eight-year-old girl was strangled to death in Nagayalanka village. Her family members found the body in a decomposed state in a bush adjacent to their house on Friday.

Alaparthi Lakshmi Tirupatamma, daughter of Lakshmana Rao, an agricultural labourer, was studying third standard in a local primary school in Nagayalanka.

According to the police, the girl entered into a wordy duel with B. Ramakrishna, a farmer of the same village, over a petty issue on Sunday last.

The Nagayalanka police said that the girl was strangled to death.

A case was registered and the police are on the lookout for Ramakrishna.
